| Koni's involvment in formula one goes back to 1958, Although the first official Koni race was in 1959 with Ferrari. At the Monza grand prix Belgian driver Olivier Gendebien used Koni for the first time, this was in fact the first time telescopic dampers had been used in motorsport, untill then all teams had used lever arm dampers. Gendebien finished 6th in that race, A race won by the famous Stirling Moss in a Cooper. |  |
 | Towards the end of the 1970 season Tyrell launch there first grand prix car, this was fitted with Koni's, an accosiation that latest untill Tyrell was sold to BAR at the end of the 1998 season. the following year Jackie Stewart won his second world title driving for Tyrell-Ford, and using Koni 8211 dampers. During the following years Koni we continued our involvement with Formula one, winning a further 12 titles including a second for the Tyrell of Jackie Stewart in his final season1973. |

 | In more recent times Koni involement in F1 has still been there, from 1999 we were technical partner to BAR-Honda for 4 years, and have worked closely with Renault & Red Bull racing since that time. A new era emerged for 2007 with the opportunity to supply Vodaphone Mclaren Mercedes with our very latest FSD (frequency selective dampers). A partnership which has yealded 8 wins this year. |
